What is bespoke wedding stationery?

Bespoke wedding stationery is invites and other paper goods that are designed from scratch, especially for your celebrations, and never re-used for another event. It’s a really exciting way to build anticipation and excitement for your wedding day!

It shows your guests what they can expect from your celebrations, helps tie all of your aesthetic choices together (before, during and after the wedding) and it can make for a beautiful keepsake too!

You can have completely unique wedding stationery that is fun, high-quality and won’t break the bank. Just think of me as your personal graphic designer. I’m here to help, advise and to craft you the invitations your big plans deserve.

What does each bespoke design suite include?

I can design you save the dates, separate invitation cards and information cards, or you can choose to have another format like a booklet or poster.

Then you have the option of RSVP cards, “Will you be my (bridesmaid)?” cards, welcome signs, order of service sheets or booklets, table plans, table numbers or names, place names, menus and thank you cards.

You can have all of these, or pick and mix the bits you need!

All bespoke designs have a £200 creative fee, and then you can just choose the stationery elements you like on top.

How it works

Depending on how you’d rather chat, we can email, jump on a call or video chat. I always relish this opportunity to find out a bit about the two of you. How did you meet? What was your first date? What do you like doing together? It builds a more thorough picture of what you’re all about which in turn helps me design something you’re more likely to fall in love with.

We can discuss pattern, colour, your style icons, where your wedding might be… Anything and everything that forms the foundations of what you want your wedding day to be like, I wanna hear about it!

Give me a week, and I’ll get back to you with some initial sketches and ideas. We’ll use these as a springboard to get us started. About a fortnight later, I’ll send you some designs based on your feedback, and we make amendments until you’re bursting at the seams to send those invites out!

Process and timeline

Week One: Research and ideation

Firstly, we gather your visual inspiration. This can be a Pinterest board of things you love, or things and places that mean a lot to you as a couple. I’ll ask you questions to get to know you and what you want for your special day.

Next, I’ll design you a few options. These will be sketches, digital assets, fonts, motifs, patterns and mock ups of each type of product. We use this to discuss the direction - what you love, what you don’t and what we can mix and match. Based on your feedback, I’ll create a completely bespoke suite of stationery. At this point, I take a £100 deposit from you to cover some of my design time.

Weeks Two to Three: Design and crafting

It’s time to start getting really excited - Your stationery is really coming together! We can discuss finishes, such as papers, foils and crafting to make sure you have the perfect touches.

I am lucky to have relationships with various suppliers. Whatever you can think up, I’ll find a way to do it! Once you’re happy with designs of your stationery, I ask for the remainder of your agreed fee to cover printing and delivery costs. Bespoke designs have a £200 creative fee to cover research, ideation and design time.

Weeks Four to Five: Delivery

Yes! Your stationery is ready to be sent to your guests or placed at your venue. I can handle as much or as little as you need me to.

If you want to write out your own envelopes and dress your own tables (or you have a fabulous planner or stylist helping you out), then that’s great. If you need a hand or you want me to handle all of that, I’ve got you covered!
