The Mindful Compass is run by Alex, who helps teams, clubs and communities make stronger connections through storytelling and mindfulness sessions.
He needed to brand The Mindful Compass itself, and create flyers and posters for a series of events called Pathways. These monthly meet-ups would allow people to share stories based on a new theme each time.
Alex wanted to incorporate nature and the idea of journeys into the event branding. Alongside, he wanted three colourways for his company branding that reflected nature but were also bright and friendly. We named the chosen colours after natural things: mint, cranberry and pumpkin.
Part of Alex’s series of mindful activities for groups includes drawing mandalas. He believes that there is a stillness that comes from bringing people together to create something beautiful in such a simple way. I wanted to use some of his mandalas as the logomark to encapsulate this.
A Tropical Hen Do
Maid of Honour Hannah and the other bridesmaids wanted to throw Lola a personalised hen. Lola loves a tropical theme and has lots of tattoos, so the girls based the branding around these themes. Using Pinterest, we created a moodboard of girly pastels, juicy, bright tropical fruits and rose metallics.
Together we created save the dates, info lanyards, tees and temporary tattoos.
A Biker's Birthday
Sarah is a big fan of her motorbike and rides in a Harley Davidson chapter around the world. She wanted her 60th to reflect this, bringing together both her fellow riders and her other friends and family for a weekend of celebrations. The Sate-The-Dates, invitations and little details pay homage to her love for all things Harley.
A Woodland Baptism
Emilie’s parents opted for a cute woodland theme for her baptism invitations. They wanted it to include lots of illustrative elements so we used royalty-free assets from Freepik and collated a bunch of elements to create something completely bespoke.
An Aquatic First Birthday
Ruben’s parents wanted to throw him a big family party for his very first birthday. They chose a fun Under The Sea theme and this was reflected in their branding - From Save The Dates and invites to decorations, the cake and party bags.
